If you would like to create an image that people will want to share on Pinterest or Facebook, images with text overlays are a great idea.
Step 1: Go to Pixlr.com and choose Pixlr Express
Step 2: Browse and upload an image
Step 3: Choose an image size by adjusting the slider
Step 4: Add a border
Step 5: Choose ‘Squared Border’
Step 6: Click on Creamline
Step 7: Adjust border opacity
You can use the slider to see the effect.
Step 8: Click ‘Apply’
Step 9: Click on ‘Type’ to add text
Step 10: Choose font style
Step 11: Choose font and write text
When you click on font style, you’ll see many different fonts to choose from. In this example, I chose Bebas.
Use the text field to write your text. You can choose to align the text left, right, or center by choosing the appropriate icon below the font name.
Step 12: Adjust font size and color
Drag the dots at the side or top of the picture to adjust the font size. Click on ‘Color’ to change the font color.
Step 13: Click on ‘Apply’
Step 14: Save
Step 15: Upload to your blog
As you can see, it is relatively simple to create an image with a text overlay. Once you’ve got used to the workflow above, you can do it in just a few minutes.
Of course, there are many variations you can try. There are other border, fonts, colors and so on.
It’s fun to experiment!
